Our webinar on Tuesday 11th March 2025 at 12-1pm is a collaboration between the Young Dementia Network and the Young Onset Dementia Knowledge Centre, Netherlands. 

Hosted by international Young Onset Dementia Research Lead Professor Christian Bakker, the webinar will highlight the importance and challenges of advanced care planning, and suggest an approach that is holistic, flexible and relational.

Activists Chris Roberts and Jayne Goodrick, in conversation with Dr Orii McDermott, University of Nottingham, will discuss their experience of planning ahead whilst living with young onset dementia.

Dr Romy Rickstal, Vrije University Brussels, will present recent research which draws on the experience of people with young onset dementia, their families and health professionals to recommend an approach to improve supported advance care planning.
